How To Build a Website With CSS and HTML (Erin Glass)

By developing a personal website using our example site as a guide, this project-based eBook will introduce you to Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), a stylesheet language used to regulate how webpages are presented.

Although Sammy the Shark is featured on our demonstration site, you can replace Sammy's information with your own if you want to customize your site.

One of the foundational technologies of the World Wide Web, along with HTML and JavaScript, is CSS. Learning CSS is a wonderful next step if you have some experience with HTML and want to advance your front-end development abilities.

Through practical exercises, the first part of this book introduces CSS, and the second half of the tutorial series outlines the processes for rebuilding the sample website.

By the time this CSS book is finished, you'll know how to continue updating the site's appearance with HTML and CSS and have files prepared for deploying a website to the cloud.
