About the Authors
The University of Pennsylvania's Thomas A. Scott Professor of Mathematics is Herbert S. Wilf. He was given the Deborah and Franklin Tepper Haimo Award for Distinguished College or University Mathematics Teaching in 1996, and he was given the Leroy P. Steele Prize for Seminal Contribution to Research by the American Mathematical Society in 1998.
