The difficulties facing US UAS designers in the most recent technology are covered in this second edition. Its main focus is on counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS), particularly studies aimed at reducing and eliminating SWARMS-related hazards.

High-altitude platforms (HAPS) for wireless communication, C-UAS and large-scale threats, acoustic countermeasures against SWARMS and developing an Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) acoustic library, updates to the legal and regulatory environment, the proliferation of UAS along the Chinese New Silk Road Sea and Land routes, ethics in this new era of autonomous systems and artificial intelligence, and more are some of the topics covered (AI).
