About the Authors
  • Software developer Silas Barta is based in San Francisco and has worked with a number of Bay Area firms. While role-playing the issue of how non-human intelligence might engage with the global financial system despite not having citizenship, he first became aware of Bitcoin. Subsequently, he constructed a liquid-cooled mining machine using commercial graphics cards.
  • Economist Robert P. Murphy specializes in educating the informed layperson about the free market. He is currently a Research Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University's Free Market Institute. His economics doctorate is from New York University.
