The Hitchhiker's Guide to Python: Best Practices for Development (Kenneth Reitz, et al)

The Hitchhiker's Guide to Python advances the Pythonista's level of proficiency. Python was developed using the principles of simplicity and parsimony more than any other language.

With 25 years under its belt, Python has supplanted SQL as the language of choice for many corporate users. Popularity brings diversity—and perhaps dilution.

This manual outlines the best practices now employed by package and application developers. It was created jointly by more than a hundred members of the Python community. The Hitchhiker's Guide is less heavy on reusable code and more heavy on design theory than other publications for this audience, pointing the reader to good sources that already exist.
