This book details a time-triggered (TT) architectures-based methodology for developing software for dependable, real-time embedded systems that have been proven in the industry.

Techniques that can be used with systems in a variety of industries, from consumer items to satellite and maritime systems, are described in "ERES (LPC1769)". The major case study covers a controller for a home washing machine. It is provided in two versions—the initial version in Chapter 3 and the final version in Chapter 15. The system was designed to adhere to IEC 60335 and IEC 60730. The goal of the book is to offer adaptable system frameworks that can be used to support a wide variety of embedded designs in diverse industry sectors.

About the Authors
The founder and CEO of the UK-based SafeTTy Systems Ltd., which aids businesses in developing real-time embedded systems, is Dr. Michael J. Pont. He previously held the position of Professor of Embedded Systems Engineering at the University of Leicester (UK), where he founded the Embedded Systems Laboratory, created the "pattern language" for PTTES, and oversaw teams that created the "NISA" safety agent and the first single- and multi-core processors made specifically to run TT software.
