Rails Deep Dive (Glenn Goodrich)

You can create a Rails application using the instructions in this book. It will concentrate on correctly configuring your equipment and fly a little lower than the usual 50,000-foot level of many tutorials.

There are rumors in the community that Rails has outgrown its reputation as a good web development framework for beginners.3 The modifications in Rails 3.1 are the result of a more developed community needing a sophisticated web framework. We'll concentrate on Rails 3.1 (RC4 as of this writing), pointing out some of the changes as we go.
