Python and Coding Theory (David Joyner)

This is a set of lecture notes for a Python and coding theory course aimed at students with little to no programming background. A portion of the Python computer programming language and a few coding theory topics will be covered in class.

For today's technologically advanced, online-based society, two well-known subfields of information security are coding theory and cryptography.

Since it provides an introduction to the fundamentals of both cryptography and the Python programming language, it will cover a wide range of topics in these fields, such as classical cryptography, the DES and RSA algorithms, discrete logarithms, hash functions, and error-correcting codes.
