Hadoop Succinctly (Elton Stoneman)

Hadoop is an Apache open-source project that stores enormous volumes of data in secure, dependable storage and efficiently executes complicated queries on data

Many of the most widely used Big Data tools are built around it. By mastering Hadoop, you can make the most of all of these resources and gain more knowledge from your data.

This book teaches how to efficiently transport data into and out of Hadoop as well as how to query it. It also describes how Hadoop functions and what happens in the cluster. Additionally, it explores the larger Hadoop ecosystem and walks through a Java MapReduce example as well as how to construct the same query in Python and.NET.

  1. Introducing Hadoop
  2. Getting Started with Hadoop
  3. HDFS - The Hadoop Distributed File System
