First Contact with Deep Learning: Practical Introduction with Keras (Jordi Torres)

Our lives are transforming as a result of artificial intelligence, and Deep Learning-based solutions are driving this change. Since deep learning may be used in many different fields of endeavor, private corporations are becoming very interested in it. But learning this technology is not a simple task.

Given the abundance of materials currently available and the complexity of the topic, many eager experts working in the field of deep learning struggle to get started and break into this area of innovation.

This book's goal is to progressively introduce the reader to this fascinating world through the use of the Python programming language. The Keras package, which abstracts much of the mathematical complexity necessary in its implementation, enables the creation of Deep Learning models. This introductory work, "First Contact with Deep Learning - Practical introduction with Keras," was created to support my teaching at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - Barcelona Tech and, in turn, to assist engineers who have left the classroom and are currently employed but wish to begin independently in this new disruptive technology to assess its possibilities and applications.

In the past, many professionals and businesses regretted not planning their Internet strategy sooner; I believe that in a few years, Artificial Intelligence will have a similar regret, as it represents an even bigger paradigm shift. I hope it's not the case with your business. Therefore, it is a good idea to begin deciding on your course of action in this area, and I hope that this book will at least help you get started.
