This book's goal is to give readers a taste of what working in the field of management information systems (MIS) would be like.
Our students claim that their internships have taught them more about information systems than their IS classes have. As a result, we created a course that resembles an internship and includes an introduction to the topic followed by a sizable assignment.
Increased enrollment in the MIS major is a byproduct of developing an interesting course. Even freshmen who had never heard of MIS grow enthusiastic about it and change their majors, add it as a double major, or declare it as a minor.
