Bioinformatics in Tropical Disease Research: A Practical and Case-Study Approach (Arthur Gruber, et al)

This book is meant to act as a self-study guide as well as a textbook for quick bioinformatics classes.

A. Bioinformatics Techniques and B. Case Studies make up the two sections. Each chapter in the first section of the book addresses a particular issue in bioinformatics, and it includes both theoretical and practical applications of the theory using free software that can be found online. The authors chosen for this section of the book have all had significant success instructing bioinformatics, whether at universities around the world, at WHO-TDR and other short-term courses, or at both. In the second section, we asked eminent scientists to write chapters that represent current analyses of certain human diseases, including biological aspects and bioinformatics methods that assisted in resolving particular issues.
