Android Application Development for the Intel Platform (Ryan Cohen, et al)

Since Intel and Google stated in late 2011 that they will be collaborating to improve future versions of Android for Intel Atom processors, the number of Android devices powered by Intel CPUs has grown.

Today, some of the largest producers of Android-based smartphones and tablets, including Samsung, Lenovo, and Asus, use Intel CPUs in their products.

Android Application Development for the Intel® Platform is the ideal introduction for software engineers and mobile app developers. The rise of Android smartphones with Intel CPUs has created a need for Android applications tailored to Intel Architecture. The book teaches Android application development based on the Intel platform, including for smartphones, tablets, and embedded devices, covering performance tuning, debugging, and optimization. It does this through well-designed app samples, code samples, and case studies.

This book, which is an excerpt from Android Application Development for the Intel® Platform, was created in collaboration by China Shanghai JiaoTong University and Intel Software College for self-directed learning.

The book can be used for training programs and Codeacademy-style programs, but it is primarily for app developers, software engineers, and aficionados of open-source programming.
